Specialties:A CROBATICS E XPERT D8, C OMBAT E XPERT D8, M ENACE E XPERT D8 ID: Curt Connors (Public) History:Doctor Curt Connors lost his arm in war, but as a herpetologist he sought a way to regrow lost limbs for injured people like reptiles do. To this end he performed genetic experiments, the ultimate goal being a serum that would allow mammals like humans to regenerate lost limbs. His experiment was a success ... but something went horribly wrong. Connors first tested his serum on himself, and while he regrew his severed arm, he also promptly transformed into a monstrous lizard-like creature. The Lizard fled into the swamps, terrorizing locals until Spider-Man tracked him down. After defeating Spider-Man in battle, the Lizard remembered his family and fled once more. Spider-Man discovered that the monster was once a man, and desperately tried to create an antidote that would return Connors to human form and reunite him with his family. He fought the Lizard and his reptilian minions and managed to get him the antidote, changing him back to human form. Thinking he was cured, Curt rejoined his family and things were happy for a time. Curt would change into the Lizard again many times, under stress or sometimes even deliberately induced in times of desperation, losing control of his mind to pure animalistic drive. Often, Spider-Man or Connors himself would effect a temporary cure, but always the Lizard would rear his scaly head and Spider-Man would be forced to take him down. Personality:The Lizard lives up to his name: he is cold, savage and fearless. Instincts rule him, and like many creatures, he wants to ensure his genetic dominance ... only he wants to do so over a world of reptiles. The Lizard feels mammals are soft and weak and does not hesitate to show it. In his more lucid moments, the Lizard is capable of self-control as Connors' mind directs him, but it is easy to set the Lizard off and bring his bestial rage to the fore. Abilities and Resources:Frighteningly powerful, the Lizard is more than a match for Spider-Man in physical prowess. He possesses tremendous strength, allowing him to smash pillars, rip huge trees out of the ground or demolish solid structures. His thick hide and great strength afford him durability enough to repel bullets or even blows from the likes of Spider-Man. The Lizard is said to possess the powers of all lizards. He can wall-crawl like Spider-Man, regenerate with great speed, possesses inhuman senses, and even shoot out his tongue a surprising distance or squirt blood from his eyes! Through some psychic means, the Lizard can exert mental control over all manner of reptiles. He occasionally uses those powers to menace heroes and the general populace, though his dreams of ruling over a world of reptiles seem to have faded. If transformed back into human form, Connors loses all his Power Sets, Distinctions and Specialties, gaining the following instead:

ID: Eugene "Flash" Thompson (Secret) History:A football star at Midtown High School and contemporary of Peter Parker, Flash earned his nickname due to his speed on the field. An aggressive jock who bullied other people, Flash had an adversarial relationship with Peter Parker while supporting Peter's alter ego, Spider-Man. Flash's abusive nature came in turn from an abusive father, and though he clashed with Peter many times, eventually the two became friends. Flash gained independence and grew out of his bullying streak, instead becoming a soldier after college. He married and later divorced Sha Shan, dated Felicia Hardy until he learned she was the Black Cat, returned to war in Iraq and lost both of his legs in an act of valor. Though he could no longer fight in the Army, a government program called Project: Rebirth 2.0 sought out Flash for his experience and courage. Having acquired the Venom symbiote after Mac Gargan's arrest, they bonded it with Flash, who became the new Venom. Working as an agent for the government and later the Thunderbolts under General Ross, Flash participated in many dangerous missions. He struggled to control the symbiote while put to the test against and alongside other heroes such as Captain America and the Secret Avengers, and even faced Eddie Brock, the original Venom. After bonding completely with the symbiote, Venom moved to Philadelphia to become "The Spider-Man of Philly" and continue to fight the worst battles for good causes. Personality:Flash Thompson is a man trying to master his demons. The product of a dysfunctional household, he nevertheless grew into trying to do the right thing. The horrors he saw in war and the struggles of his civilian life left him dealing with PTSD, but Flash Thompson is ever ready to do what his country asks of him and more. Since bonding with the Venom symbiote, he struggles with its alien instincts and his own demons, but he's willing to put himself in harm's way so that innocent people never have to suffer what he has suffered. Abilities and Resources:As a decorated soldier and trained boxer, Flash is skilled in combat even without the symbiote. His remarkable courage and cool head help him remain thoughtful and observant even in combat situations. These abilities make him a dangerous soldier both on and off the battlefield. Aaron MacKenzie designed an adaptable "Multi-Gun" for him in Project: Rebirth 2.0, able to be change between different configurations depending on the mission's needs. Since becoming Venom, Flash has gained the myriad powers provided by the symbiote. He possesses speed and strength that rivals or even exceeds that of Spider-Man, and similar powers in the form of wall-crawling, the ability to produce webbing through the symbiote and even disguise himself as nearly anyone. The symbiote can also produce tendrils, allowing Venom to stretch to great lengths, manipulate objects while keeping his hands free or bind opponents with terrible strength. Possessing its own set of senses and a heightened ability to heal its host, the symbiote does its best to keep Flash alive even during the lethal battles he fights as part of the Thunderbolts.

ID: Felicia Hardy (Secret) History:Trained as an athlete by her father, a famous cat burglar, Felicia followed in his footsteps and became a skilled thief. Her heists made her quite wealthy, and with each one, the thrill of victory grew more intense. Felicia adopted a costume and moniker as the Black Cat and attempted to break her father out of prison. The Black Cat also met Spider-Man above the streets of New York City, and the two entered a dance of hero and thief. They became romantically linked for a time, but eventually the psionic ability to affect probability fields given to her by Kingpin and the stresses of heroic life caused a rift between them. Felicia went on to become friends with Peter and Mary Jane, as well as date Flash Thompson for a time. She also became a Defender and worked with Colleen Wing and Misty Knight in the Heroes For Hire. Alternately operating as a hired thief and as a freelance hero, Black Cat teamed up with the likes of Wolverine, Daredevil and more, clashing with villains like the Kingpin and Hobgoblin. Her luck powers restored by villainous Doc Tramma, Felicia returned to a life of thrilling heists and occasionally interfering with the plans of New York's villains. She crosses paths with other heroes regularly, especially Spider-Man, and it's always strange luck when the Black Cat is around. Felicia even formed her own private investigation firm, using her unique abilities to aid in her investigations. Personality:Felicia is a free-spirited, thrill-seeking woman. She enjoys using her gifts to flout the law and challenge people like Spider-Man, always seeking the next high. Open-minded and confident, Felicia knows what she wants in life and isn't afraid to take it. In fact, the more well-guarded it is, the better, because she relishes a challenge. Despite her ostensibly shallow desires, deep down Felicia has a hard time trusting people and the few she truly trusts couldn't ask for a more loyal friend. She also has a vengeful side and those who do so soon learn why they shouldn't cross the Black Cat. Abilities and Resources:As one of the world's greatest thieves, Felicia has surpassed even her world-renowned father in ability. She is an Olympic-level athlete with well-honed reflexes, agility and physical conditioning. Felicia also mastered several martial arts and if a security system can be cracked, she knows how to do so. An experiment by the Kingpin imbued her with the ability to subconsciously affect probability fields, allowing her to "cause" incidents of bad luck to those around her. Originally she could not control this ability, and lost it for many years. After Doc Tramma restored it, Black Cat possessed greater control over it and used it against her many opponents. Black Cat also wears a suit specially-designed by the Tinkerer to enhance her natural abilities, improving her speed and agility beyond human levels. Her furred gloves contain retractable claws and miniature grappling hooks, allowing her to swing through the streets much like Spider-Man. Driven to become successful and powerful, he founded Oscorp alongside a brilliant scientist named Mendel Stromm. Eventually he had Stromm removed from his position, and afterward Norman discovered Stromm's greatest work: a chemical formula capable of enhancing the user's strength and intelligence. Osborn completed the experiment, but it came at a cost: his sanity. Now dangerously unhinged, Osborn adopted a goblin-like Halloween costume. He fashioned some dangerous Halloween-themed gear and called himself the Green Goblin, seeking dominance of New York's criminal empires. He soon crossed paths with Spider-Man, who foiled his plans again and again. Norman became obsessed with destroying Spider-Man, even going so far as to murder Gwen Stacy, Peter's then-girlfriend. In a final climactic battle, Norman brought about his own demise, though the Goblin's ghost would continue to haunt Spider-Man. Personality:Norman Osborn is a megalomaniacal man with delusions of grandeur. Despite failure after failure, he sees himself as rightful ruler of New York's criminal underworld and deserving of more success in the business world. He is prone to mood swings and bouts of raving lunacy as a result of the experiment bringing out his latent madness. Vengeful and devious, the Goblin is as crazy as he is dangerous. Abilities and Resources:Stromm's enhancement formula granted Norman Osborn superhuman physical abilities and increased his intelligence. As the Green Goblin, he's capable of giving someone like Spider-Man a run for his money. Norman also developed a wide variety of tools to use as the Goblin. The most famous of them is his Goblin Glider, a wicked flying platform that enhances his mobility and lets him terrorize his victims. He also throws a variety of Pumpkin Bombs, from grenades to smoke and gas bombs, and razor-edged boomerangs. His suit features a bulletproof vest and powerful electric blasters built into his gloves.

ID: Curtis Connors (formerly) • Base: The Raft • Group Affiliations: None History: The scientist Curt Connors lost his arm during wartime while helping wounded soldiers. He turned his scientific talents to studying reptiles and their ability to regenerate lost limbs. Connors developed a serum and tested it on himself, mutating into a giant lizard-like creature. His rampages brought him into conflict with Spider-Man, who developed a cure to revert him to human form. The Lizard transfomration continued to plague Connors for many years, eventually costing him his wife and son. At the latter the Lizard persona took over completely and Connors was believed to have died, but thanks to another cure developed by Spider-Man, Connors' mind resurfaced. Now in control of the Lizard's body, he remains penitent for his many crimes and determined to remain in control of his life instead of becoming a monster.
Personality: The Lizard is currently a remorseful man trapped in the body of a monster. Curt Connors has accepted his fate and considers it his punishment for his transgressions. He is a thoughtful, introspective man, hoping to one day atone for what he has done. The Lizard still possesses Connors' scientific curiosity, which may help him one day find an answer to his questions.
Abilities & Resources: The Lizard has all the powers of Earth's many lizards adapted to his humanoid body. He possesses superhuman speed and reflexes to match that of Spider-Man, and superior strength and durability. His scaly hide can repel gunfire. The Lizard can scale walls like a gecko, and his tail is devastatingly powerful. His senses are greatly heightened, enabling him to react on information and at speeds no human can match. Additionally, the Lizard now retains full control of Curt Connors' scientific mind, rather than rampaging as a mindless beast.

ID: Aleksei Sytsevich • Base: New York City • Group Affiliations: Sinister Six (formerly) History: Once a Russian mafia thug, Aleksei underwent some illegal chemical and radiation experiments in exchange for promises of power. The end result was the fusing of a durable suit of rhino-like armor to his hide, and a tremendous increase in strength. The Rhino, as he was so creatively code-named, went to work for the scientists who recruited him. Attempting to kidnap and ransom John Jameson, son of Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson, the Rhino battled Spider-Man in Manhattan. Spider-Man quickly outwitted and outmaneuvered the brute and apprehended him. The Rhino later broke out of imprisonment and battled Spider-Man again several times. The scientists behind his original experiment approached him with an offer to enhance him further with gamma rays, which Aleksei accepted. The experiments were successful and the Rhino grew stronger than ever. He later battled Hulk, Spider-Man, and a variety of other heroes. The Rhino even attempted to go straight for a time, married an immigrant woman named Oksana, and reformed his ways. When Oksana was murdered by a new Rhino, Aleksei donned the mantle again and returned to a life of crime.
Personality: Aleksei is not an evil man, though has done many criminal things. He is a petty thug given extraordinary muscle, and though he has some sympathy for the downtrodden, he only knows a life of crime. The Rhino is slow-witted and quick to anger, prone to explosive outrages. He has spent his entire life manipulated by one person or another, and sometimes longs for reform. Inevitably, circumstances drag him back into the life.
Abilities & Resources: The experiments that turned Aleksei into the Rhino bonded to him an armor suit modeled after a rhino's hide. He possesses vast superhuman strength and stamina, and a hide impervious to many weapons. The Rhino can charge, appropriately enough, at high speeds, protected from the devastating impact by his own durability. Living as a mafia thug has made him a brutal street fighter, and he knew how to intimidate his foes even before the experiments transformed him.

ID: Dr. Vincent Stegron • Base: The Savage Land • Group Affiliations: - History: Doctor Vincent Stegron worked alongside Curt Connors in a S.H.I.E.L.D.-funded experiment involving dinosaur DNA obtained from the Savage Land. Between his love of that primal world and his growing obsession with Connors' transformation into the Lizard, he stole the Lizard formula and modified it to take into account dinosaur DNA. The formula transformed Stegron into a Dinosaur Man, and he began a short-lived rule over the Swamp Men of Savage Land. Spider-Man stopped him with the help of Ka-Zar and the Black Panther, and Stegron was presumed dead after plunging into an icy river. Stegron returned several times afterward, usually bent on "devolving" creatures into saurian beasts or reanimating dinosaurs to help him conquer the human world. Many times he battled the likes of Roxxon Oil and others to stop the plundering of the Savage Land, even teaming up with the likes of Spider-Man and other old foes to preserve the primordial paradise.
Personality: Since his transformation, Stegron has become a far more cold-blooded, calculating conqueror. He cares little for mammalian beasts or the civilized world. Often he is driven by a desire to dominate, to reduce humanity to bestial, instinctive creatures and rule over a saurian kingdom. Savage and merciless, Stegron fights to prove the superiority of his kind. He has long forsaken his humanity, showing little good will except in the face of worse threats.
Abilities & Resources: Stegron's transformation into the Dinosaur Man granted him powers similar to the Lizard: superhuman strength and durability, heightened animal senses, and a mutated, saurian form. He can overwhelm even the likes of Spider-Man with his brute power. His psionic powers over the minds of dinosaurs now extends to all reptiles, or even creatures with reptilian brain elements, such as humans and other mammals. He retains his medical and scientific knowledge but rarely uses those anymore, favoring more primitive methods of combat and survival. Recently he has learned how to absorb the life energy of other creatures and use it to fuel his own saurian body.
