Brother to Johnny Blaze and inheritor of an ancient curse linked to the Spirits of Vengeance, he took up the mantle of Ghost Rider after Deathwatch attacked Daniel and his sister. Hiding in a junkyard to escape their attackers, Daniel touched the gas cap of a mysterious old motorcycle and the power within transformed him into Ghost Rider. Though it was too late to spare Barbara, the new Ghost Rider delivered righteous vengeance upon those who harmed innocents like Barbara. Believed at first to be the demon Zarathos once more possessing a mortal host, Ghost Rider discovered that his powers seemed to stem from Noble Kale, accursed ancestor transformed into immortal Spirit of Vengeance. However, with the involvement of the likes of Mephisto and Blackheart, neither Danny, Kale nor even Johnny Blaze could be sure of the truth. Eventually they discovered that the four Spirits of Vengeance bonded to Ketch and the other keepers of a mystical Medallion of Power were not demonic in origin, but rather angelic destroyers, vestiges of an ancient power. Though others lay claim to the title, Daniel fought their masters many times, opposing Mephisto and other demonic threats to mankind. Daniel died more than once, had the Spirit of Vengeance exorcised from him and even unwittingly assisted an angel in gathering enough power to war upon the highest realms. In the end, he willingly rejoined with a Spirit of Vengeance to become the Ghost Rider once more and save New York. Resigning himself to his fate as a Ghost Rider, Daniel Ketch rode off into the night to deliver hellfire and vengeance to the wicked. Miguel's work focused on the hybridization of human and animal species, inspired by records of the 21st-century Spider-Man. After a human test subject died a gruesome death as a result of his work, Miguel lost his desire to continue and resigned from Alchemax. Tricked by Alchemax R&D VP Tyler Stone into becoming addicted to Rapture, a drug that genetically bonds itself with the user, Miguel faced a terrible choice: remain with Alchemax or risk death and imprisonment for black market drug deals. With only Alchemax legally licensed to distribute the drug, Stone had Miguel caught between a rock and a hard place. Miguel sought to escape another way: by using the data of his own genetic code stored in Alchemax's database, he planned to overwrite his Rapture-modified DNA with that of his Rapture-free data. His attempt was sabotaged by a rival within Alchemax, Aaron Delgado, whose interference instead caused the machines to hybridize Miguel's genetic code with that of a spider. Emerging from the process with spider-powers, Miguel found himself fighting the oppression of the very corporation he once supported. Regarded by Thorite worshipers of Thor as a harbinger of the god's return, and by the struggling people of 2099 as a beacon of freedom, Spider-Man learned to embrace his role as a hero. He went on to meet many living legacies of the Heroic Age and help bring about a modern return to such heroics alongside heroes and villains both new and old. Personality:In 2099, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is a little less friendly. So is the neighborhood. The Mexican and Irish heritage that flows hot in Miguel's veins gives him an equally hot temper, as did growing up with an abusive father. As a scientific genius, Miguel knows how smart he is and isn't afraid to let others know it. His wisecracking and arrogant personality rub others the wrong way, but deep inside Miguel has a good heart. When his new powers open his eyes to the plight of his fellow people, he chooses to embrace responsibility and fight against the powerful corporations of 2099. While Miguel never loses his biting wit as Spider-Man, he also comes to know what it means to be a hero. Abilities and Resources:Miguel O'Hara is a scientific prodigy. He excelled in academia so much so that at a young age Alchemax placed him at the head of one of their important genetics division. Both a geneticist and a technological wizard, Miguel helped program things such as AIs and advanced electronic systems. After having his genetic code rewritten to incorporate spider DNA, Miguel gained the proportionate speed and strength of a spider. The results were reflexes well beyond any human athlete's and a natural agility that let him perform impossible athletic feats. He also possesses enhanced senses that allow him to see in the dark or focus binocular vision on distant objects, and hear things at a greater range than normal humans. The hybridization gave him non-retractable talons on his fingers and toes that he could only cause to fold down with great concentration or by touching his own skin. Spider-Man also gained spinnerets — fortunately, the spider-powers adapted themselves to his human form, rather than the other way around, and they were located in his forearms, allowing him to swing on weblines or bind opponents in webbing. When he became Spider-Man, in order to conceal his identity he donned a vaguely spider-esque costume he had worn for Dio de la Muerta. Made of Unstable Molecule Fabric, the costume proved durable enough to survive his many rough adventures as Spider-Man, and he also added a small airfoil cape that allowed him to glide and control his freefalls.

Bobbi also worked alongside Ka-Zar in the Savage Land and other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to oppose schemes by Hydra, A.I.M. and other villainous organizations. During one such mission she met the Avenger Hawkeye, and the two fell in love and eventually married. They later divorced, but theirs was an on-again, off-again relationship. Mockingbird went on to found the West Coast Avengers and served as one of its leaders alongside Hawkeye. She encountered many new foes and difficult trials as an Avenger, even being kidnapped and replaced by a Skrull impostor for a time. After returning to active duty, Mockingbird became a founder of the espionage organization called the World Counter-terrorism Agency. After sustaining critical injury in a raid on one of Norman Osborn's H.A.M.M.E.R. warehouses, Nick Fury had her injected with a recently rediscovered top secret formula. A combination of the super-soldier serum from Project: Rebirth and the Infinity Formula that had given Fury his extended lifespan, the new formula saved Bobbi's life and sped her recovery. It also gave her newfound strength, transforming her to the peak of human ability, much like Captain America. Though Fury has some concerns about the long-term effects of the new formula, Mockingbird has returned to action stronger than ever. Personality:Barbara is a calm, collected woman of great confidence and keen perception. As a longtime agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and an Avenger, she has faced more dangers than most people and always remains level-headed no matter the situation. Her courage allows her to face the hardships of espionage without wavering, and she is always ready to give everything for the greater good. Barbara is a passionate woman and has never lost a sense of romance, despite all the trouble it tends to bring. She is also a capable leader with the gift of foresight, having been tested on the battlefield. Her experiences led her to found the World Counter-terrorism Agency to carry out the black ops that teams like the Avengers could not. Abilities and Resources:Doctor Barbara Morse is a brilliant biologist with world-class training and years of practical experience. On top of that, she received the finest education and training S.H.I.E.L.D. could provide, turning her into one of the world's greatest athletes. An expert in many forms of combat, Mockingbird prefers the use of her custom Battle-staves in martial arts, which she can break into batons or combine into a staff as the situation demands. After the injection of the new serum to heal her wounds, she has become stronger, faster and tougher than she was before, pushed to the limits of human ability. Combined with her years of experience as a highly-trained operative, Mockingbird is one of the most dangerous women in the world.
