Created when a mass grows compact enough to deform spacetime, black holes are mysterious monsters capable of devouring whole galaxies. They present a danger for the unwary space traveler and sometimes serve as weapons for cosmic beings. Only the mightiest beings can withstand their power. Endlessly hungry, black holes will devour everything and it would seem to Earth scientists that physical information is lost within their dark maws ... but space-borne characters have found that the strangeness doesn't end there. Black holes can sometimes lead to strange dimensions like the Negative Zone or other bizarre realms.
