History:Rayne is a dhampir: the half-human daughter of a vampire and a human woman. She never knew her father, and became thankful for that. Kagan was a Nazi occultist and murderer, slaying Rayne's human family when she was just a girl. Embittered by the tragedy, Rayne grew up hunting vampires with her unique gifts, always seeking to find Kagan and take her revenge. Eventually, the Brimstone Society, an organization dedicated to battling supernatural threats the world over, discovered Rayne and recruited her. As their top agent, she traveled the world and succeeded on missions too dangerous for other agents.
One such mission set her against the Nazis, who attempted to use black magic to resurrect the ancient demon Beliar. Though Rayne dismantled the Nazi plan to use demonic parasites against Allied powers, she failed to stop the resurrection of Beliar. After a fierce battle, Rayne slew Beliar once more and destroyed the remains of the occult operation. Only then she received word that the Brimstone Society had located Kagan, but he slipped Rayne's grasp and she pursued him for decades.
Personality:Because of her bloody childhood, Rayne is a woman who carries much sadness with her. Yet she is not melancholy, but instead a fierce and passionate woman prone to powerful emotions. Rayne has a strong sense of justice and fights to ensure that supernatural evils like Kagan never torment another soul. Above all, she hates vampires with a passion as searing as the sun itself.
Abilities and Resources:Thanks to her Dhampir nature, Rayne has superhuman strength, speed and senses. She can heal from grievous wounds by drinking blood, and her keen senses allow her to track prey even through the darkest forests at night. When the need arises, Rayne can shapeshift into a raven form to take flight. Highly skilled in combat, Rayne prefers to use her physical prowess in melee. The Brimstone Society fashioned two unique blades she locks to her wrists in order to become a whirling dervish, cutting her foes to pieces.
