ID: Rock (Secret)
History:Rock was designed in the year 20XX by the world's foremost super-inventor Dr. Thomas Light, along with his "sister" Roll (and, unknown to them, Blues, Light's first Robot Master). Doctor Light and his former colleague Doctor Albert Wily invented a series of human-like robots called Robot Masters. The Robot Masters were built to perform tasks humans could not perform, operating with an advanced AI capable of learning. While Thomas was a benevolent scientist out to improve the lot of humanity, Albert was greedy and resented his old friend's greater genius. Wily reprogrammed a large number of Robot Masters and simple mechaniloids and set them loose upon mankind. Dr. Wily's army, combined with his technological genius, proved formidable enough to overcome human resistance.
With courage and a strong sense of justice, Rock volunteered to be upgraded into a fighting robot in order to take on Wily's mad machines. Reluctantly, Dr. Light agreed, and thus was born
Mega Man, a powerful robotic warrior. Armed with the Mega Buster energy cannon and a variable weapons system that allowed him to copy the powers of defeated enemies, Mega Man journeyed to Dr. Wily's castle to stop him. While he was a pacifist at heart, Rock was forced to destroy many of his Robot Master brethren on the road to defeating Wily. This only strengthened his determination to stop Dr. Wily, which he did, though in what would become a recurring theme, Dr. Wily begged for forgiveness (or escaped), with Mega Man vowing to stop him again.
Personality:Rock is very much like a young boy, as Dr. Light designed him as something of a son. He has a very deeply developed sense of right and wrong, and a desire to see justice done for both humanity and robotkind. Rock is innocent to the point of being naive, though not incapable of learning. Unlike many robots, he can experience a range of emotions, like those that a young boy raised by a wise, kind and generous father might feel.
Abilities and Resources:Mega Man shares many traits with other Robot Masters: superhuman strength, speed, reflexes and durability. He is built to withstand punishment that humans can't possibly take, and dish it out in kind with the Mega Buster. When his incredible physical prowess and the versatile Mega Buster aren't enough, Mega Man has another trick up his sleeve. He can copy the powers of defeated foes and use them against other enemies, exploiting weaknesses to achieve victory.
