The Resident Evil series follows the exploits of a pharmaceutical megacorporation headed by an evil few who wish to remake the world and live as gods. To this end, they develop inhuman bio-weapons and terrible viruses as steps along the road to finding godhood, such as the deadly T-virus, capable of mutating humans and other mammals into zombies and worse. What started as a series of strange cannibal murders and their investigation by the Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. unit quickly developed into a nightmare beyond imagination as more and more of the Umbrella Corporation's sinister motives came to light. Only a brave few know the truth about Umbrella's horrific experiments and possess the courage — and ability — to stop them. He, along with many other children born to highly intelligent parents, were all part of the Wesker Children project conducted by the Umbrella corporation. They were raised under the watchful eye of Umbrella's leadership, with Albert proving the most gifted of the children. As an adult, Wesker went on to work for the Umbrella corporation before realizing his true destiny. As a scientist, Wesker trained alongside William Birkin beneath the venerable James Marcus. Wesker and Birkin worked together, helping to create the infamous T-virus. They betrayed and murdered Doctor Marcus and stole his research, while Birkin went to work creating a much more potent virus, the G-virus. Meanwhile, Wesker joined the S.T.A.R.S. Unit of Raccoon City and became its captain. He worked for years as a covert agent, studying the S.T.A.R.S. while continuing his research. When James Marcus returned from the grave and took his revenge on Umbrella, causing the disastrous outbreak at the Spencer Estate, Wesker saw only opportunity. He led the S.T.A.R.S. on an investigation into the Arklay region, manipulating them into the Spencer mansion in order to gather battle data on the B.O.W.s against opponents with superior training. At the same time, Wesker decided to act on his own plans, seeing no more use for Umbrella. Using an experimental virus given to him by Birkin, Wesker faked his own death at the hands of the monstrous Tyrant and escaped the mansion. Resurrected with inhuman physical powers, Wesker began a quest for power using the viruses and B.O.W.s created by Umbrella. Eventually he learned Oswell Spencer's ultimate plan, to remake himself as well as the human race and rule them as a god. Upon discovering this, Wesker killed Spencer and usurped his place, feeling only he has the right to be a god. Using all the many evils created by Umbrella and others like them, Wesker is close to perfecting his ultimate creation, the Uroboros Virus, with which he will remake the world in his own image. Personality:Wesker is a heartless megalomaniac. He feels humanity is worthless, having squandered its own potential. Arrogantly he believes that he should remake the world with Uroboros, standing atop it as a god among the new world. To that end, he will use anyone and anything without care for others. The only feelings Albert Wesker deigns to show lesser beings are contempt at their weakness and a sadistic glee when mercilessly tormenting them. All living things are playthings in Wesker's grand design. Abilities and Resources:Wesker is a genius scientist with a quick and cunning mind. He's trained in a wide variety of sciences and is an expert marksman, preferring handguns as his weapon of choice. Wesker is also highly skilled in close combat and as a martial artist has few peers. On top of that, the virus that brought him back from the dead also gave Wesker superhuman strength and speed. He can move so fast he appears as a blur, or even like he's teleporting at short range. His agility matches that of the finest gymnasts and, coupled with his speed, allows him to even dodge bullets. His endurance and durability are greatly enhanced, as well, allowing him to withstand gunfire, explosions and heavy impacts.

ID: Chris Redfield (Public) History:Conflict has long had a place in Chris Redfield's life. He joined the Air Force at the age of 17, but ultimately he was discharged for clashing with his superiors. From there he moved to Raccoon City and joined the STARS, a crack anti-terrorism squad. There Chris teamed with future close friends and confidants Barry Burton and Jill Valentine. He also met Captain Albert Wesker for the first time. Eventually the STARS were called in to investigate strange cases of cannibal murders and bizarre mutilations. The investigation led to a mansion outside the city, in the Arklay Forest, the Spencer Estate. The STARS Bravo Team went missing, so Chris led the Alpha Team in to find them. What they found was a slaughter, where they were chased into the mansion by hungry zombie dogs. Chris, Jill and Barry fought their way through a mansion full of the hungry dead and worse monsters, discovering the cause: a mutagenic virus created by the scientists of an evil corporation. Along the way, the STARS were betrayed by Captain Wesker, who also worked for Umbrella Corporation, and nearly killed. Chris and his partners managed to escape, along with sole Bravo Team survivor Rebecca Chambers, after destroying the monstrous Tyrant bio-weapon. Chris left for Europe shortly thereafter to continue the investigation of Umbrella activities. His sister Claire, trying to find him, was captured in the Paris facility and taken to Rockfort Island, a prison and breeding ground for Umbrella's monsters. Chris journeyed to Rockfort and then an Antarctic base, where he was finally reunited with Claire. Together the Redfields fought the megalomaniacal Ashfords, twin children of one of Umbrella's founders. Once more, Chris brought down an Umbrella scheme. Years later, Umbrella had been dismantled, but their legacy of terror lived on. After losing Jill in a confrontation with Wesker which also saw the death of Ozwell Spencer, mastermind behind Umbrella, Chris underwent the most intense training possible. He turned himself into a paragon of strength, and became a captain of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, which he helped found with partner Jill Valentine. A mission took him to Kijuju, Africa, where he teamed up with West African BSAA operative Sheva Alomar. The two became embroiled in a plot devised by none other than Albert Wesker, who had created the ultimate virus. Wesker planned to destroy humanity and replace it with a new race, standing atop the new world as a god. With the help of his partner and a lot of luck, Chris dashed Wesker's hopes before finally destroying him and ending the legacy of Umbrella forever. Or so he thought... Personality:Chris is a kindhearted and compassionate man, though very intense at times. The few people he allows in close become like family to him, and he'll do anything to protect them. Having devoted his life to making sure nothing like the Raccoon City Incident ever happens again, Chris bravely volunteers for the most dangerous missions, despite also being one of the BSAA leaders. He hates the monsters and the shadow of fear they cast over the lives of innocent people, but not as much as he hates those willing to use bio-terrorism for whatever ends. Abilities and Resources:Chris is possibly the world's most dangerous soldier, trained in a wide variety of weaponry, tactics and combat styles. Following the death of his partner Jill, his intense training regimen pushed him to the limits of human strength and endurance. His military, STARS and BSAA background have given him an excellent sense of tactics and even covert operations, taking him all over the world in a wide variety of missions. All of this has made Chris one of the most experienced soldiers in the world, and no one has encountered more bio-terrorism incidents than Chris Redfield. When he's called in to deal with an outbreak, you can be sure he'll get the job done.

Specialties:C OMBAT E XPERT D8, M ENACE E XPERT D8 ID: Unknown History:Nemesis is an experiment by the European branch of Umbrella, an attempt to create a Tyrant series with greater intelligence without sacrificing its terrific power. The project was successful because of the discovery of the NE- α parasite, combined with data gathered from Lisa Trevor's virus-mutated body and combat data acquired in the Spencer Estate incident. Ultimately, the NE- α attaches to the host's brain stem and replaces the brain which has been rendered useless by the T-virus. This allows the new Nemesis T-Type to retain much more of its intelligence and adaptability, while also providing it with a nearly indestructible form. Umbrella deployed Nemesis to Raccoon City during the outbreak with a mission to kill the surviving S.T.A.R.S. members. Only two of them remained in Raccoon City: Brad Vickers and Jill Valentine. Nemesis stalked Brad and finally cornered him outside the RPD station, murdering him before Jill's eyes. Jill then fled the Nemesis, who pursued her through the hellish city. No matter how much damage he sustained or how often she escaped him, Nemesis was always on her heels. At last he chased her to an Umbrella factory, in the bowels of which was an experimental rail gun. Jill used that rail gun to defeat Nemesis, escaping shortly before Raccoon City and his remains were obliterated in nuclear fire. Personality:Nemesis is a fairly one-track mind, given a particular mission and determined to see it through to the best of his ability. He is not wholly without emotion, showing both rage and sadistic glee when stalking and killing his victims. He is also somewhat impatient at times, known to destroy zombies and other mutants that get in his way when he is trying to run down a victim. Abilities and Resources:Nemesis displays the frightening strength of the T-103 Tyrant series, far more powerful than any human. Even more so than other Tyrants, however, Nemesis is durable beyond compare. He wades through high-powered gunfire without slowing down and heals rapidly from injury, even devastating injury like having his head dissolved by acid or a grenade exploding in his face. He can run faster than most humans and also has a series of serpentine tentacles coiled within his body. These allow him to whip targets across a room or pierce vulnerable points on a victim. Thanks to his intelligence, Nemesis can also be equipped with various tools for a job, including an oversized rocket launcher specially-made for him. These factors combined make Nemesis one of the deadliest B.O.W.s Umbrella created, and quite possibly the most durable. Despite her considerable firepower and combat skill, Jill could barely escape Nemesis in Raccoon City, and even the use of a rail gun couldn't kill the monster. When his blob-like remains started to move and pursue Jill once more, she finally finished the monster with a series of magnum shots, overloading even his regenerative powers and destroying him once and for all. Then again, the monster may have survived if not for the nuclear explosion that followed...

ID: Jill Valentine (Public) History:Jill has a long history of serving her country. She joined Delta Force early in her career, being one of the first women admitted to the program. There she learned her great skills in bomb disposal, lockpicking and combat training. Afterward, she returned to Raccoon City and joined the special S.TA.R.S. unit and continued to excel in training and operations. She worked closely with Chris Redfield and the other S.T.A.R.S. members, forming tight bonds with the team. She was a member of S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team and was dispatched along with the others to investigate Bravo Team's disappearance in the Arklay Forest. They found the massacred remains of Bravo Team on the grounds of the Spencer estate and were chased into the mansion by zombie dogs. In the mansion they encountered other horrors, such as zombies and even deadlier mutants. Jill and the others discovered a few survivors of Bravo Team and also some kind of clandestine experiments using a mutagenic virus called the T-virus. There was an outbreak and most of the mansion had been consumed by it. S.T.A.R.S. Captain Wesker betrayed the team, manipulated Barry Burton into working with him, and faked his own death after unleashing the T-102 Tyrant, an example of the T-virus' deadly potential. Jill and Chris destroyed the Tyrant and escaped the mansion before its destruction, along with Rebecca Chambers. They were too late: the T-virus could not be contained. Soon it poisoned all of Raccoon City. Jill remained behind while the other members went to investigate Umbrella operations elsewhere, and she was caught in the citywide outbreak. Not only that, but Umbrella had dispatched the formidable Nemesis to hunt down the remaining S.T.A.R.S. members, and it quickly killed Brad Vickers. Nemesis pursued Jill throughout Raccoon City and into a hidden Umbrella bio-factory, where she destroyed it with an experimental railgun. Jill went on to help hunt down the last remnants of Umbrella facilities and destroy them, ending the corporation once and for all. She also helped found the BSAA with Chris Redfield and other counter-bio-terrorism agents. One mission led them to the whereabouts of Ozwell E. Spencer, aging mastermind behind Umbrella, where Jill and Chris found Spencer murdered by Albert Wesker. A dramatic battle ensued in which Jill sacrificed her life to save Chris and kill Wesker. Or so they thought... Personality:Jill is cheerful and perceptive and manages to stay positive even in the face of bio-terror evils. She is quick-witted, which served her well in Delta Force and Raccoon City, and later as a top BSAA agent. Jill is extremely brave and cool under fire, and would willingly give her life to protect someone else's. Abilities and Resources:Thanks to her top-notch training and natural ability, Jill is one of the world's most capable law enforcement agents. She is very quick on her feet and has fast reflexes. Jill excels in all forms of combat, from weapons to unarmed techniques, and often uses her agility to her advantage in melee. Skilled with her hands, Jill is a master of lockpicking and stealth. She is in top shape as a tremendous athlete. Due to the NE-T virus infection she sustained in Raccoon City, and its subsequent curing, Jill is wholly immune to many viruses and toxins. Her body naturally produces incredibly strong antibodies for things such as the T-virus, something Wesker exploited to help create the Uroboros virus.
